Eventually, overharvesting led to embargoes. It’s now rare to see any new guitars built with Brazilian Rosewood, due to heavy restrictions resulting from necessary conservation efforts. Many alternate materials are now being commonly used.
This Taylor 814ce Brazilian guitar uses a CITIES-compliant set of Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, paired with a Sitka Spruce top. Otherwise it is very similar to a standard Taylor 814ce, which is a very fine instrument. The guitar overall in mint condition
