在2003年Gibson 公司為慶祝Historic 系列面世10週年，特別推出一批巴西木指板的限量版，甫推出市場就馬上被一眾收藏家們搶購一空。在這批限量版中其中的這支‘54 Gold Top LP 結他更是限量中的限量，僅只推出了28支，其Gold Top 面漆加單一個p90 的拾音器非常有個性，就連公認的結他大神-Eric Clapton 也在一個結他展上入手這支’54 Les Paul ，可見其魅力所在！！

如果你喜歡早期Gibson ‘50s 年代的粗厚琴頸，標誌性的wrap tailpiece 設計，簡潔的一個琴橋p90拾音器及只有一組音量/音色控制，這支絕對是你的首選，先不說現在這樣的配置已經絕少在常規Reissue 系列出現，基本上都需要在M2M 特別訂制，但眾所皆知價格計法跟常規Custom Shop 會不一樣，再者巴西玫瑰木的指板在其後的‘54 Gold Top 型號也再也沒有出現過，所以更顯這批極高的收藏價值及罕有度。

In 2003, the Gibson Custom Shop celebrated the 10th anniversary of their Historic series by releasing a special limited edition batch with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboards. These guitars were quickly snatched up by collectors as soon as they hit the market. Among this limited edition series, the 1954 Gold Top Les Paul Reissue stood out as an even rarer gem, with only 28 units produced. Its Gold Top finish and single P-90 pickup added a unique personality to this instrument, so much so that even the legendary guitarist Eric Clapton acquired one at a guitar exhibition. This speaks volumes about its irresistible charm.

If you're looking for the chunky necks and iconic wrap tailpiece design of Gibson's early '50s era, along with the simplicity of a single P-90 pickup and a single set of volume/tone controls, then this guitar is an absolute must-have. It's worth noting that such a configuration is rarely found in the standard Reissue series nowadays, typically requiring special customization through Gibson Made to Measure (M2M) orders.
